The First Yield

Some beautiful specimens from my garden this year. I really enjoy seeing my plants grow even though they are all crammed in such a little space. They have survived the Michigan drought and hopefully they will keep bearing fruit. Speaking of bearing fruit, I hope we are bearing fruit. It is God's job to water us, but our priveledge to slurp up all the life giving water we can get. In the Bible, Jesus said that if we drank of that kind of water, we would never thirst again. I want that and I hope and pray that you do too.

Nice beans. I think with gardens as with life, quality over quanity/size matters more. "Where you tend a rose, a thistle cannot grow" (from "The Secret Garden") is applicable in both as well.

Looks yummy. Are those sweet peppers? There are so many object lessons from gardening. I'll do my best to soak in God's love and goodness showered on me today.

Mmm. I miss the garden. I have to go to the store when I need food.

Word has it that there is a huge garden at your house. I have seen it with my very own eyes. I have walked amongst the plants with my very own two feet, but I have yet to taste of it's fruit. Maybe when you get home, we can have a sneek tasting extravaganza ...shhhhhhh.... don't tell... they'll never know!
